Jilland Matthew's Abseil · 10 December 2017

A Newcastle University Centre of Research Excellence. Cancer is a major area of recognised strength in Newcastle. We have an impact upon oncology research and practice worldwide, but while it's us at the benches, we wouldn't be there without your help.

Story

Two years come February we lost an amazing young man,  Kieran, my cousins son, to leukaemia. Kieran was an inspiration to everyone and for most of the time had a positive outlook. He had a passion for genetics believing that with the right research a kinder less invasive treatment could be found. Future fund is a fund purely set up for children. Kieran would of given his all to see this succeed therefore we are doing this abseil, one to keep his memory alive, two to help raise as much money as possible to keep the research going and three to help Matthew to over come his fear of heights. Or should.i say fear of the equipment haha x
