Me and my sister will be taking part in the Cardiff half marathon this year and we are hoping to raise as much money as we can for the British thyroid foundation.

My son Noel was diagnosed with congenital hypothyroidism at only 4 weeks old and at the time I was heartbroken as any parent would be. He had numerous blood tests and scans and was treated right away. He has to take medication on a daily basis and have blood tests every 4 months. The British thyroid foundation had all information to help us understand more about his condition and that he will be okay. Noel is now a thriving 18 month old being cheeky as ever and we are hoping in the future that he will grow out of his condition but if not it can be managed by daily medication.
