My daughter Bethan died of Leukaemia ten years ago this September and I am raising money for other cancer sufferers in her memory. She was only five when she died.
- 1 in every 500 children will develop cancer by the time they are 15.
- Around 250 children, aged 0 to 14 years, lose their lives to cancer every year in the UK.
The past few decades have seen dramatic improvements in the outlook for children diagnosed with cancer; today more than three quarters survive.
