Story

*may not be 100km but it’s for Tim, always and forever…. Same reasons as below. For always and more xx

On 30th October I walk for CALM at the LOST HOURS walk. We walk against suicide. We walk for our lost loved ones. We walk in their memory and we walk to talk and remove the stigmas of mental health and Suicide. We walk to help CALM bring more awareness around Male Suicide and prevention. We need your help. They need your help. My Tim needed your help, I do.

Reasons from 2019 below still stand xx

I am taking part in the following - sadly in the Memory of my boyfriend Tim who passed away on Monday April 1st by Suicide. I will not let his death be in vain. He was my hero and i have nothing but love and admiration for him. He is now at peace and no longer fighting the awful illness of Bipolar. I walk for him. I walk for hundreds and thousands fighting both publicly and silently -

Isle of Wight 106km / London to Brighton 100km / Jurassic Coast 100km / Peak District 100km / Chilterns 100km / South Coast 100km / Thames Path 100km and North Downs 50km

All of these walks are organised by Ultra Challenges and I am doing all of them for CALM - Campaign Against Living Miserably. CALM is leading a movement against Male Suicide, which is the biggest single killer of men under 45 in the UK. Their goal is a life less miserable for them, their families, their friends and for all men.

I have seen first hand the devastating effects Mental Health can cause, both from my side as a carer and watching a loved one suffer, sometimes in silence. Just because you are a man doesn't mean you have to suffer. There are no weaknesses, there is only strength from within which I am hoping to give to others by bringing in more awareness, more compassion and a lot less stigma!

These walks aren't easy, they require a lot of mental strength as well as physical. It isn't just a walk. I will be taking myself to the limits for this and it is going to be the best thing I have ever done!

Thank you for all your kindness and support. Please donate. My entire world has fallen apart. This is all I can do to make a difference. To justify something, just something at least.
