Next Thursday, March 22^nd, would have been my
brother Michael’s 61^st birthday, but he took ill in Spring last year and passed away in September after a relatively quick illness. He died in hospital in London as he was too sick to transfer home.

The bureaucracy following the loss of any relative is daunting  but facing it in a different country is more so. The liver ward in RVH put us in touch with  Kay Duffy from the RVH Liver Support Group. Kay was absolutely wonderful from the outset, giving us very clear step by step instructions of exactly what we needed to do and in what order. She did all she could to ensure we got Michael home and buried before Paddy and Bridgeen's wedding. This was England after all and funerals normally take weeks. We can't thank her enough.

All funds raised through this page will go to the RVH Liver Support group to enable them to continue helping families when they are most in need. We are very grateful for anything you can offer.
