Story
For me – the Corrie is an 13.5mile trot through the Corrieyairack Pass followed by a 38.5mile bike ride alongside the River Spey up to Aviemore and out to the Badaguish Outdoor Centre. The strap line used to be “always a challenge”. Pretty well how I remember it.
Why?!! – used to be our team name. Now I want to go back to see if the hill is as long a climb, the zig-zag descent is as steep and the little hill at Ruthven Barracks is as nasty as I remember from all those years ago.
For your donation – every £200 raised provides a respite care activity holiday at Badaguish for adults and children with a disability.
In their own words – The Badaguish Philosophy:
Our aspiration is to offer people who require additional care and support (due to a learning disability and / or complex disabilities) a holiday experience that is stimulating, interesting and fun. We encourage participation in as wide a choice of outdoor activities as possible. We aim to promote an active, healthy and sociable lifestyle developing recreational skills which will continue to have an impact on people’s lives after they have gone home.
