I am planning on running the first Northampton Half Marathon this September to support The Lewis Foundation, a local cancer charity that has patients at the core of everything they do. 

The Lewis Foundation support patients at hospitals in Northamptonshire by providing free weekly gift bags adults with cancer, helping to keep them occupied during treatment. The group originally began giving out packs at  Northampton General Hospital, and from there expanded to BMI Three Shires, Northampton, Kettering General Hospital and Milton Keynes Hospital  They now provide 1000 free gift packs each month to cancer patients, and have a selection of 27 different packs available. By the end of 2018 they will have distributed over 100,00 gift packs!

If you'd like to donated to help The Lewis Foundation carry on supporting patients it would be hugely appreciated. I've been the cancer patient who has been rushed into hospital last minute with no change of clothes, tooth brush or phone charger. I know packs like this can make a real difference to someone in their time of need. What seems like a small gesture can have a lasting impact, I know I would have been so grateful to receive one of these packs whilst being an in-patient.
