We provide services for those with dyslexia to ensure they reach their full potential

What is ESLtwelve?

In July 2012, British mountaineers Jon Gupta & Nick Valentine, will attempt to complete one of the world’s hardest mountaineering challenges: The Snow Leopard Award – five x 7000m peaks, back to back in Alpine Style!!

This will be a BRITISH FIRST completion of the award and should they achieve this in their time of just 40 days frame… a WORLD FASTEST - which currently belongs to legendary climber Denis Urubko.

Why are we doing it?

Our aim is to inspire and motivate people, young people in particular, to believe that anything is possible and that they too can achieve their wildest dreams.

Jon Gupta and Nick Valentine are two of Britain’s most promising up and coming mountaineers. With major ascents all around the world including Alaska, Nepal and The Alps they are ready to make history. Jon and Nick have been climbing together for a number of years, and after a great week in the Alps last year decided it was time for the next big thing!

We both wanted to do something really big; to go very high, fast and light, and to make British mountaineering history

Why dyslexia?

Aged 9 I was diagnosed with dyslexia and began attending a dyslexia centre in Bristol twice a week for the next 3 years. This really helped and with the support and positive encouragement from my family I went on to gain good results though my school life. I still am dyslexic and always will be but I have learnt to use my strengths in order to achieve my dreams and set my goals. I want to give something back and hopefully help other individuals who struggle with learning difficulties.

Well, simply - I want to raise a huge amount to really make a difference, and YOU can be apart of this!

There are many ways you could donate – here are some examples using various figures from the trip!

* There are 5 mountains – so per mountain eg, £10 per mountain = £50
* We will be climbing aprox 16,000m of ascent! (Twice the hight of Everest!) eg, 1p a meter = £160
* We are aiming for 40 days eg, £1 a day = £40
* OR - Any donation = very much appreciated, thank you :)
