We support people to move on from homelessness

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Anybody who has walked through the centre of Bristol recently can’t help but notice the huge numbers of homeless people living on the streets and how much it seems to have increased in recent years. If you’re anything like me you often want to help but either don’t have change or are worried just where your money is going, leaving you feeling a little guilty.

With this in mind, I’ve decided to run the Bournemouth marathon in aid of Emmaus Bristol homeless charity. Emmaus help support people to move on from homelessness by providing home and work for formerly homeless people who in turn are supported to help people in greater need than themselves.

I’ve worked really hard training for this, running over 500 miles, enduring ice baths and early Sunday morning runs all in preparation for the painful 26.2 mile slog! Plus I have to spend 4-5 hours running alongside Rob Orledge, far more painful than the final few miles I’m sure!

So, I’m doing the tough bit, all you need to do is click on the little donate button and donate whatever you can for a worthy cause.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
