We help separated parents and children to retain a loving relationship

Story

I have been a runner since my teens. I have always dreamed of running a marathon so this year I have decided to get on and do it! I am training hard and am looking forward very much to the big day on 30 April.

The marathon I have chosen is in the lovely Kent hills around Charing near Ashford.

I am running to raise money for an excellent charity called Families Need Fathers. I am very grateful to FNF for the support they have provided me and my children.

FNF believe that children have the right to a loving relationship with both parents after separation. Children need protection from the harm of losing contact with one parent. Both parents should be treated equally and shared parenting should be encouraged.

FNF serve fathers, mothers and grandparents. They run local branch meetings throughout the UK. They operate a free national telephone helpline. They provide information to separated parents through online forums, newsletters and a website. They work tirelessly to lobby Parliament and the legal profession.

FNF is short on funds. Your donation will help FNF with several key priorities for 2017-18. These include: extending the hours of the telephone helpline; expanding the online educational materials; ensuring better coordination between central office and local branches; and upgrading the FNF IT infrastructure.

Thank you for your donation.
