Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 31st July 2016 I will be completing the London-Surrey 100 cycle in aid of Children with Cancer UK.
I am always looking for a new challenge to complete with my bike and when I saw this event come up it was a challenge I couldnt refuse. This will be my biggest challenge yet and I hope to make everyone proud.
I have chosen to raise money for Children with Cancer Uk whilst I am challenging myself. I think myself lucky that I am one of the many who has escaped this horrid disease as a child and will continue to hope for a cancer free life ahead.
I have copied a quote from Children with Cancer UK,s website.
"We have three main research aims:
- We want to understand more about why children develop cancer, to
find explanations for the increasing risk and to establish whether
prevention is a possibility. - We want to drive forward the development of novel approaches to
diagnosis, identification of markers of likely outcome and improved
treatments for childhood cancer in order to tackle those forms which
still elude successful treatment and to minimise the risk of adverse,
treatment-related effects. - We want to understand more about the long-term risks faced by childhood cancer survivors."
Please help me raise £500 for such a worthwhile cause.
