Like many of us, I tell myself that this year I am going to get fitter, healthier etc. The difference this year is that I have set myself this goal, to go from couch potato to 10 k. I have just turned 56 and my weight has reached 11 stone, and I like to think of myself as fit, but I know that I am not. Now it is time to actually do something about that. So I have signed up to a gym and to the race. For the first time in my life I have set some health and fitness goals. By sharing them with you I am asking you to hold me accountable.
