As most of our friends know, Jude recently found himself in hospital after a particularly nasty episode of bronchiolitis. This is a relatively common viral infection but can affect small babies in quite a severe way and meant Jude ended up being put on a ventilator and taken to Sheffield Hospital for 3 days. Thanks to the amazing staff on the Duke of Kent ward at Scarborough Hospital as well as all the staff involved in intubating him in theatre, Jude is absolutely fine one week on. 

As parents, what we observed while being in hospital  was how caring and helpful all the staff were at Scarborough. No request was too much for any of them even though quite often they were stretched due to it being a busy season for poorly children. 

We would love to give back in some way and given Jude has all the clothes and toys he could need for a long while, we thought he would appreciate this in years to come. So if you were planning on getting him a present or if you would like to donate to the hospital’s DUKE OF KENT WARD (Children’s ward) anyway, please feel free to leave as little or as much as you like. I’m going to also write down in a book messages from people for him to keep for the future.
