Most of us have been affected by cancer either directly or indirectly and cancer research needs our help.
The Royal Marsden Hospital was founded by Cordwainer William Marsden and is a world-leading research and treatment centre, whose work has improved outcomes for cancer sufferers. It's the Cordwainers' charity of the year and we're joining the sponsored walk between the Marsden's sites in Chelsea and Sutton.
Two years ago our father Richard Stillwell was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and he died just ten months later. Dad was a devoted Cordwainer and would be very amused that we are all doing a sponsored walk. Only Elly has form in this area and the last time Judith did a sponsored walk was in 1974. Lizzie is relying on her youth to get through it.
We are very grateful for every donation: it will all go to support the crucial work of the Royal Marsden Hospital.
