On 18th August I am taking to the chilly waters of Llanberis to swim 5 km for the CHF.  As most of you know our family has been affected by congenital heart disease and in addition to the brilliant skill and expertise of the team at Alder Hey, this organisation has been a great source of support and information for us, both at diagnosis and along the rollercoaster journey that congenital heart disease can be. 

Later this year Hugo faces further surgery and to honour his bravery and positivity in dealing with his heart disease and support others affected, I wanted to set myself a little challenge.

CHF supports children with heart conditions and their parents and carers by providing: a telephone helpline, publications, peer support and opportunities for networking, online resources, a support fund and resources for children.CHF campaigns for support and services for children with heart conditions by: collecting and sharing information, sharing knowledge, better care campaigns and taking part in research projects.
