Two close sisters, Rachel and Julia, are raising funds for The Nick Smith Foundation, set up in memory of Nick 'Smudger' Smith, who died from MND at the age of 38, as a charity we support research into MND and look at how we can improve the help available for those diagnosed and their families, support children who have had to face the death of a parent and support amateur rugby league.
Together they will complete Leeds 10k (Julia's first ever run) to raise money for The Nick Smith Foundation, ensuring Nick's legacy continues. Julia will be running the race alongside her sister Rachel, who was married to Nick, and is mummy to their two children, Julia's nephew and niece, Hadyn, 6, and Georgia, 4.
They will be supporting each other to get to that finish line, to make Hadyn and Georgia proud of their Mummy and Auntie for what they are attempting to do in their Daddy's memory.
We hope we can make a difference. In Nick’s memory. In Nick’s name. #ForSmudger
Thank you all for your continued support.
