Story
My name is Kyrone Watson, I am a Personal Trainer and have been volunteering my time (via personal training sessions) in the Cancer Relief Centre for 10 months now, during this time I have got to know a lot of the staff there and a lot of people who are both suffering or have gone through cancer themselves. Seeing the work that is done there first hand has really opened my eyes to how important the centre is to the community.
For this reason I wanted to help raise as much money as possible for the Cancer Relief Centre. So when I saw that the Med Steps challenge was coming up, I thought it would be a good opportunity to not only run practise sessions every Sunday for people to go up the med steps with myself to get them prepared for the charity event ( which I have been doing for about 2 months now, all money made from the sessions have gone to the centre) but I also wanted to do my very own challenge, which is when I came up with the Med Steps Marathon. My idea is to complete the med steps 12 times, which is approximately 42km which is the distance of a marathon race.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could please support the event and support the Cancer Relief Centre and donate to my page!!
