It's that time of year again! To try and beat the huge sums raised in the past, I've decided this year to undertake SEVEN fantastic challenges to raise money for Cancer Research UK. My fabulous daughters and great little fundraising partners, Olivia & Devenee, are joining me on some.... but when they're not, they remain my trusted, uncomplaining and extremely fit (!) training companions.....

Sunday 1 April - Scotland Spring Kilomathon 6.55k (Junior Race 2.62km)

Sunday 6 May - Race for Life 5k - Hopetoun House, Edinburgh

Sunday13 May - IGNIS Asset Management Ladies 10k - Bellahouston Park, Glasgow

Saturday 26 May - Edinburgh Marathon Festival 10k (Junior Race 3km) - Holyrood Park, Edinburgh

18-19 June - Three Peaks Challenge - to climb the UK's 3 highest peaks in 24 hours (!) - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, Snowdon

Sunday 26 August - Speed of Light - unique running and cultural event during the Edinburgh Festival - Arthur's Seat, Edinburgh

Sunday 9 September - Pedal for Scotland 51 miles - cycle Glasgow to Edinburgh

We've been training hard but are delighted to climb many a hill and pound many a pavement for this extremely deserving charity! The girls, as always, will be running in memory of their Papa, Drew Sim, and I'm taking on these challenges for all my family and friends who have been touched by this terrible disease.

But most importantly, all 3 of us undertake these challenges to celebrate the lives of those who have been saved by the work of Cancer Research UK and who are still here with us today.

I've attached some great photos of our fundraising efforts for Cancer Research UK over the years which make me smile (NB there are very few of me as I dont do the whole sweaty-sport-photo-thing!). We have some great memories and I count myself very fortunate that I am physically able to take part in such wonderful events.
