We provide vital specialist services to people living with multiple disabilities

Story

KALA(Kerala Arts and Literary Association) is a UK registered charity. KALA members of all ages including children, women and men will take part in a 10k challenge to raise funds to support young people in the UK who suffer from profound and multiple disabilities.

The event will take place from 10 am on Saturday, the 7th July 2018, at Ruislip Lido, Ruislip - HA4 7TY.

The fund raised will be used by "Parity for Disability", UK registered charity, on their ongoing improvements to help young (18+) people with various disabilities.

One initiative "Parity for Disability" focuses on is to improve the communication and interaction for the young people with profound and multiple disabilities. This initiative uses Gazer programmes which requires frequent upgrades and is very expensive. Another initiative is developing and maintaining special sensory areas where the disabled young people are kept to relax and improve their concentration.

The monies raised will help fund these initiatives and benefit the young people with profound and multiple disabilities with their well being and communication with their loved ones.

Needless to say, one of the KALA members Sunil will also benefit tremendously!
