In October 2017 I trekked with an fabulous bunch of people in the 'Beyond the Canyon' adventure in the USA.

In March 2019 I met another wonderful group when I trekked in the High Andes mountains to Machu Picchu, again raising funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

These were amazing experiences and because I just can't help myself I am off again at some point .  Unfortunately as I expected the Great Wall of China Trek has now been called off indefinitely, due to the pandemic. As this trip was still up in the air in early 2020... I decided to get 'up in the air' and take part in a skydive. The sky dive was  an amazing experience which I absolutely loved, despite only being allowed to jump from 12,000ft due to coronavirus restrictions.

Now China is a no-go, I have booked a 9 day trek of the West Highland Way in Scotland in July, which I am sure will be great fun as well as a test of stamina!  

Survival rates from Pancreatic Cancer have not improved much in over 40 years, with only 7%  of patients surviving 5 years. My husband, Dr Nigel Minett, a GP, died on 19th January 2012, 10 weeks after being diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.  It is a silent killer, with few obvious symptoms presenting before the cancer is at an advanced stage.

I am self funding all my activities so that any donations made here and through other events,  will go directly to the charity to help to research into and support those affected by this nasty disease.
