Keep it in Kent (KiiK) is a campaign that is dedicated to supporting trading between businesses based in, or predominantly working in Kent. Whilst our primary aim is to support economic growth within Kent, we do not underestimate the value of the services provided by the charitable and not-for-profit sectors. And so another important way in which members of KiiK can support our wonderful county is to donate to local charities who are working on behalf of us all. Rather than collecting membership fees for Keep it in Kent, we have decided to ask our members to make annual donations to local charities instead.

Heart of Kent is an independent charity providing expert care for people facing the challenge of a life limiting illness in Maidstone, Aylesford, Tonbridge, Malling and the surrounding villages. Their specialist teams care for nearly 1,000 patients and their families each year at home or in the Hospice, improving their quality of life and helping them live each day as fully as possible. It costs nearly £4m a year to run Heart of Kent services and they rely heavily on the generosity of the community they serve through fundraising, donations and the support of volunteers.

Making a donation to Heart of Kent Hospice is just one small way in which Kent businesses can show their appreciation for the inspirational and valuable work they undertake to improve the quality of life for people with life limiting illnesses, and to help make every day precious.
