Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Once again I have had too many glasses of wine and got myself in to something, that really is going to be a challenge. The good news is, I only have to suffer this for 35 hours, unlike all those living with and caring for loved ones, with any form of dementia, who don't get to cross a finish line and it is all over, but instead, have to find new strength at the beginning of every new day, to start their challenge, all over again.
My challenge is to complete the West Highland Way, leaving Milngavie at Midnight on Friday the 24th of May and arriving (hopefully) in Fort William, 95 miles later. If all goes well, I will complete the challenge within the 35 hours permitted by the rules, if things go wrong, I will be missing in the woods for several months, living with the squirrels.

I will be raising as much money as I can, in honour of my Dear Old Dad, who himself spent many hours at The Glasgow Memory Clinic, assisting with research and tests, to help find a cure for this very cruel disease. I do believe the cure is out there and some fantastic work and research is continually being carried out, so one day the cavalry will come. Dad did his bit, knowing it would be for others who would follow him, now it is over to me, to do as much as I can, to raise funds as part of my mid-life crises challenges.
I also pledge to match every pound raised, with one from my own pocket, to double the final amount raised, so dig deep and really annoy me!!
The Dementia Revolution is here and I have joined the fight.
