My time in New York, especially over this year, has shown me that loving a city also means giving back to the place that has given me so much. As we stick together, we see thousands of people who do not have the tools or help they need to overcome unworldly challenges on the streets of NYC. If we all do a little, if we all are able to raise a small amount, give love and attention to those in need, volunteer our time on whatever scale we can, it will all be worth it to lift even one person up. 

I joined BRC Leadership Council for its simple and clear mission to give a hand up to the people who need it most in our city. I am running to not only raise funds for our mission but also to use this platform to build awareness for a cause that helps thousands.
