Bridge2Aid believes that everybody has the right to safe emergency dental care.  To support this vision I will be joining Bridge2Aid and a group of dental volunteers in Tanzania for two weeks to help develop the skills of Health Workers and deliver basic dental services to the community.

Inspired by one of the dentists I work with who volunteered for this programme in June 2015, Ben Molyneux, I could not pass up the opportunity to try make a difference to the lives of people suffering from debilitating dental pain.   For the 2 weeks that he was in East Africa they treated over 1000 patients and extracted over 1200 infected teeth. 

Please help me raise funds to send me to Tanzania in September, covering my flights, accommodation and travel in the village.  Money raised over the target will go straight to Bridge2Aid in support of the work that we will do. 

I believe that every bit helps when giving back to those who need it most and I cannot wait to share my dental nursing knowledge with the Health Workers so that they may continue to provide safe dental help to the people in their communities.  I will also be partaking in my first ever run in June along with my colleagues from The Dental Surgery! We will be participating in the Colour Run in London to raise funds for this journey and Bridge2Aid, I will be sharing many updates before and on the day, if you are also going please come say hi!
