You may know from my efforts to run a half marathon last year that I support Action Duchenne because of two very dear friends of mine. They got the devastating news that their middle child has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This rare condition wastes muscles as children age. Most children will be unable to walk from 8-9 years old and will rely on the use of a ventilator to assist breathing from late teens to early twenties. Life is limited in years too.

Please help this amazing charity. They help families of boys affected with this disease with support not available from anywhere else. Most people working at Action Duchenne are Duchenne parents so they know first-hand the devastation and struggles that come with diagnosis and what lies ahead for the families affected. Action Duchenne don't get much funding and being a relatively small charity they appreciate all the help we can give them. Any spare pennies are greatly received.
