I am running the Paris Marathon on 9^th April 2017. AH!

Firstly, I am not a runner. This will be the biggest challenge of my life. Secondly, yes I am completely mad, but I am mad for a purpose and that purpose is to raise funds and awareness for MND - a cause close to my heart.

The MND Association Northern Ireland are fantastic. They provide support nurses and equipment to people with MND. For my family the expertise and kindness they provided were so massively appreciated. The MND Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland dedicated to improving care and support for people affected by MND as well as supporting research into the disease. Over 5,000 people are currently living with MND in the UK and Ireland.

Any donations at all - big, small, or in-between - would be fantastic. As I said, I am no runner. I am terrified. But hopefully the money raised will help to make some people living with MND feel that little bit less scared and with the research the MND Association supports we can move towards getting rid of this horrible disease once and for all!
