I always feel incredibly sad on Mother’s Day because I can’t give or take flowers to my Mum. She passed away almost six years ago and I still miss her.  However, in Kenya, there are babies being born in difficult and challenging situations and I want to make a donation to the Funzi and Bodo Trust who work tirelessly to provide safe, clean birthing rooms for women to give birth and access to medical support when needed. You only need to go to the Funzi and Bodo website to see photos of delighted mothers with their new babies. I think my lovely mum would be proud to think that money I’d have spent on flowers is going to help people in this way.
