Story
Hi,
My name is Liz and I am currently living in London, working as a Doctor and planning my upcoming wedding. This year I have decided to run my 8th marathon in London, in my first ever good for age position.
Having attended fund raising events and speaking to my fiancé's family, who have been active in fundraising for the charity for years, I have decided to do what I can in supporting African Revival. Having also spent a prolonged period of time in Uganda on a medical placement, visiting schools to vaccinate and treat children, this charity is something close to my heart. Here is a little more about the charity..
African Revival is a small organisation working to improve primary education in Uganda, Zambia and South Sudan - we believe education is the key to overcoming poverty. We work with the most rural schools, forming partnerships over several years to develop them in a holistic manner. We don't just build classrooms, improve sanitation, and provide livelihood and education projects; we empower whole communities – pupils, teachers and parents – to transform schools into thriving learning environments that build brighter, better futures...
If you are able to support me in any way possible, I would be very grateful for any donations towards this cause.
Thank you in advance,
Liz x
