We offer care, support and information to anyone affected by breast cancer

Story

In 2009 one of my dearest friends from New York and an English Channel swimmer lost her battle to breast cancer. Hers was in the late stages and she passed away within a few months of her diagnosis.

In 2015,  I was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. I was one of the fortunate ones whose cancer was detected early and was quickly 'nipped in the bud'. Going through the diagnosis and the tests did have an emotional impact and I was very grateful for the support offered by Breast Cancer Care.

A few of my swimming friends have also gone through the illness
or are undergoing treatments at present.

Breast Cancer care offers support to many men and women through their treatments and has a wonderful service called ´Friends like me' where they put you in touch with someone who has undergone a similar diagnosis and treatments.

I hope I can raise some funds so they can keep offering support to others.
