Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

On 2nd March 2019, 17 days after having my second daughter by C-Section I had a stroke.

At 29 years old, I never imagined that my world would be tipped upside down in such a way!

I am a stroke survivor!

I am a wife to an amazingly supportive man who has been my rock throughout!

I am a mum to 2 girls who are both beautiful and kind!

I am grateful every day for the life I was lucky enough to keep. From the day of my stroke I have cherished every moment and will continue to do so.

The stroke association has given me so much support along with the information on their website, it gave me the reassurance I needed to stay positive and gave me light at the end of the very dark tunnel.

I want to thank the Stroke Association and hopefully when I have come to terms with what has happened then I will be able to do more to raise awareness for younger people and new mums.
