Lanarkshire Business Group regularly supports good causes however the sentiment associated with  'charity begins at home' took on a greater meeting for us when one of our members was  dealt the diagnosis we all fear.

Jon Marc Creaney, owner of GCA Architects and Vice Chair of Lanarkshire Group before the illness forced him to step down, has humbled us all with his mental strength, determination and dignity as he fights cancer.

His blog  http://scarpadog.wordpress.com/ gives us an honest and gritty account of what he is enduring but at the same time is a source of comfort and inspiration for others.  Lanarkshire Business Group is turning its charitable endeavours to an organisation that is supporting Jon Marc, The Friends of the Beatson.  We are holding a charity disco and auction with Peter Martin on 22 October and tickets cost just £10.  We appreciate not everyone can attend the charity night so this page enables you to donate just a few pounds or more, to this worthwhile cause.
