At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Hello.

This is my attempt at breaking a Guinness World Record for the Largest Collection of Lanyards.  The record currently stands at 3,260 and is held by Christian Gferer.

Now that's a lot of lanyards and breaking the record is going to involve me asking for help from lots of people.  So rather than making this one sided where I'm asking and taking without giving, I figured that someone else should benefit from my attempt.

After a long chat with the wife we decided that for every lanyard that I have in my collection I'd donate 50p* to the Alzheimer's Society.  I know that doesn't sound a lot but it's a starting point.

I realise that this isn't going to be something that I achieve in a few weeks so I'm here for the long haul and if you'd like to help me out, be it by donating a lanyard, offering advice on the website, making a suggestion on where I can obtain a  new lanyard or maybe you just want to make a donation to charity, then please get in touch.

I look forward to seeing where this leads.
