The Remembrance Garden will be at Highfields Park, near the QMC & is expected to include a picnic area, a nature walk and a tree of tranquility where baby names can be inscribed upon the leaves.

Story

A group of our family and friends are getting together to run/climb/crawl/roll around a 5k and 10k Warrior Assault Course at Holme Pierrepont on 9th June.

Forever Stars was setup following the stillbirth of Emily Daniels on December 19th 2013. Although Emily was stillborn, Michelle and Richard had to go back on to the labour ward where the surrounded by the sounds of child birth, families celebrating and of course the sound of healthy babies.Michelle and Richard decided that they would fundraise in the name of their daughter to facilitate the building and equipping of bereavement suites and other support material and facilities of future bereaved parents in and around the East Midlands.

We were able to use the bereavement suite when our son, Harrison, was stillborn and since he was born sleeping in August 2016, we have found that fundraising for charities who support stillbirth and baby loss has given us a form of comfort. Our niece Eadie died at 3 months old in March 2015 and we now have a beautiful leaf engraved in her memory at Bradgate Park. There is something comforting in having a place to visit and think about our babies so we would really like to help Forever Stars raise the money for the remembrance garden at Highfields to allow us and other families a space to sit and remember our sleeping babies .

Please donate kindly, we are so grateful to everyone that has got involved and signed up for the assault course! Empty your pockets folks and support everyone mad enough to get involved!
