I am walking 500 miles for Smiles, to help raise money for the support of Ukrainian refugees through their projects in Romania. From May 1st to the 31st August I will complete 12,112 steps per day which will total 500 miles. The conflict in Ukraine has left thousands of people without accommodation or anywhere to go, Smiles is endeavoring to help with not just short term aid but with long term help. A safe place to live, help with documents, education and employment so that they can begin to rebuild their lives in Romania.
