We rescued our dog Margaret from the CDRS in June 2018.

We didn't realise at the time, but Romania has a lot of stray dogs due to historic urbanisation, and many that do roam the streets are culled. 

CDRS bring over a number of dogs from Romania each month to save them from this fate, and Margaret was one of the lucky ones.

When we first met Margaret, she was terrified, had clearly been mistreated, and looked underweight. We had to wait a week to go back and see if our other dog (Winston) would get on with her, and couldn't believe what a difference a week with CDRS had made. She looked a lot healthier, and although still very shy, had clearly been looked after magnificently by the centre.

Margaret has fitted into the family perfectly, she is such a sweet and happy dog despite the start she had in life. I want to give other dogs this opportunity.
