In memory of Alison Coaker
The Cure CJD campaign has been set up by a group of individuals, personally affected by the disease, to support the work of researchers & doctors at the MRC Prion Unit at UCL and NHS National Prion Clinic at UCLH. We are a fund within UCLH Charity.

Story

This charity is very close to mine and my family's hearts.

Please support us to find a cure for Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD).

In 2015, my beautiful Auntie Alison passed away from this terrible disease. Sporadic CJD is a rare and fatal disease; they have no idea why you get it, who’s going to get it and there is no medication and no cure. If there was treatment and a cure, Auntie Alison may still be with us today. The Cure CJD Campaign is dedicated to finding a cure which will hopefully help others in the future.

Every day scientists and doctors are getting closer to finding a treatment. The charity aims to raise funds to support the use of an antibody drug developed for the treatment of patients with CJD. The first patient was treated at UCLH in October 2018.

Please donate what you can. We appreciate as much or as little!

We are running in memory of you, Auntie Alison and in support of all the people and families currently battling the disease.

Much love,

Lauren and Abbie xx
