Story

Big Cheese Charged With Passing Off Cheddar As ‘Gold’

Have you curd the news? It’s a guilty plea entered at the Mag-cheese-trates Court, Worcester.

Seems Croome Cuisine’s Managing Director Nick Hodgetts has been up to no Gouda, and has been trying to pass off his delicious cheeses as real gold. How dairy

He should have gone about it more Caerphilly. We think he’s crackers to even have attempted such a stunt!

This is certainly no mild crime, and he’ll be ‘taken into custody’ at 10am where he’ll pose for a mug shot, and have his fingerprints done. No wonder he’s feeling a bit Blue.

He’ll ‘stand trial’ for his fictitious crime and be duly handcuffed to the railings of Worcester’s Guildhall for the day, where he'll mature nicely in the sunshine. We just hope he doesn’t melt as we need him back in the Dairy.

Should he cheese to accept it, his mission is to appeal to your Feta judgement and raise as much bail money for his fredam.

It’s a grate idea as all the money raised in bail will support St Richard’s Hospice with their efforts to care for patients, loved ones and bereaved people across Worcestershire.

Croome Cuisine will be selling special 150g gold ingots of its delicious
‘Worcestershire Gold’ variety to assist in raising as much money as possible. 50% of every sale will be donated to St. Richard’s Hospice.

Please join us on Friday 10th May to show your support for this brilliant
charity …. oh, and also of course, to help release Nick!

St Richard’s Hospice offers free care for adults with a serious progressive illness, improving their quality of life from diagnosis, during treatment and to their last days. It also supports their families, carers and loved ones.

Each year the hospice team supports more than 3,300 individuals in Worcestershire. This may be in the hospice, the local community, in GP surgeries, at clinics or by telephone.

St Richard’s is an independent charity and relies on donations for three quarters of its annual £8.8m income with the remainder from the NHS.
