Story

Lee’s Walk for PROMPT

I am planning to walk the full 630 miles of the South West Coast Path in just 20 days in May 2021 to raise money for PROMPT Maternity Foundation, their training helped to save the lives of my wife Hannah and son Spencer.

Story

Following a normal pregnancy in 2017 Hannah suffered a complication during childbirth called shoulder dystocia.  PROMPT Maternity Foundation had provided training for the wonderful midwives in Stroud Birthing centre and saved both of their lives that day.  Without that training my “Mini-Me” may not be here today.

I’ve set myself a massive challenge, to walk the full distance of the South West Coast Path, 630 miles from Minehead to Poole, in just 20 days, averaging 30-35 miles per day.

Whether it is a penny or a pound, every single donation is appreciated by me and my family and the charity to enable them to continue their awesome work making childbirth safer.

About the charity

The PROMPT Maternity Foundation (PMF) strives to make childbirth safer globally, through training, education and research. Our aim is to make evidence based PROMPT training available to all. PMF is run by a multi-professional group of obstetricians, midwives and anaesthetists.
