Lesley and Joy are good friends who grew up together in a small mining town in Northumberland.In 2011, Joy was diagnosed with AML, a form of Leukaemia and was lucky enough to receive excellent care on Laurel 3 at Royal Worcester Hospital. Joy has now been in remission for over two years and wants to give back something to help fellow sufferers.

The charity we are supporting are dedicated to providing intravenous pumps for administering chemotherapy drugs and blood products to patients diagnosed with cancer. As well as funding important research, they also provide some complimentary therapies which help to relieve the suffering and distress to those affected by Leukaemia. Joy knows from her personal experience how important this is  as she spent considerable time in and out of hospital during her intensive treatment.

The charity is trying to raise enough money for 21 intravenous pumps costing £3000 each, we would like to help buy one of these if possible.
