I've had ME for around ten years. ME has hindered my life in many ways. When i started my job as a lifeguard at Horizon Waterloovile i joined this caring team that have helped me over the years, even when they may not understand the illness as so little is truly known. Before I developed ME I was a competitive swimmer so a swim challenge fit with me well. We aim to swim 250 miles as roughly 250,000 people suffer with ME  in the UK alone. Any help you can give me give ME suffers the change at a life without pain.   The swim will be taking place at Horizon waterloovilre on Sunday  21st October 2018.

Invest in ME Research is an independent UK charity finding, funding and facilitating a strategy of biomedical research into Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME or ME/CFS).The charity is run by volunteers - patients or parents of children with ME - with no paid staff.Overheads are kept to a minimum and all funds raised to go to promoting education of, and funding for biomedical research into, ME.Our efforts are focused on setting up a UK Centre of Excellence for ME which will provide proper examinations, diagnosis and in time treatment(s)/cure(s).
