Story
This summer over 50 painted elephants have been on display for the Herd of Sheffield Project, helping to raise funds for the Children's Hospital Charity. The elephants are due to be auctioned off in a few weeks time to raise more vital funds and find loving homes for the elephants, which have been painted by many artists including Pete Mckee, Kid Acne, Lydia Monks and many other brilliant artists. I have also illustrated the elephant 'Small Beginnings' which has been in the botanical gardens in Sheffield.
My elephant has recently been badly vandalised, meaning that not only I but the charity team will have to invest hours and resources into repairing it in time for the auction (along with repairs on some of the other elephants). The money and time spent on this could have been put to better things, such as the Children's Hospital that we are all working so hard to raise money for.
My elephant is about small things making a difference. Wouldn't it be brilliant to counteract the vandalism with something big - like a whopping great charity donation, aided by yours truly? Please think about donating, even just a small amount to turn this into something bigger and better. Please note that all of the money is going directly to the charity and not towards my materials or time.
Thank you!
