Story
When I was 15 (back in 2013) I was involved in a road traffic collision whilst on my bike delivering the morning paper round. I was unconscious when the North West Air Ambulance (NWAA) arrived and I was taken immediately to North Staffordshire Hospital to be stabilised before I was transferred to Birmingham Children’s Hospital where I was treated. I was in a coma for 5 days and spent around 3 weeks in hospital and for a while suffered with short term memory loss.
I am so fortunate to have had a full recovery and there is no doubt in my mind or that of my family’s that I wouldn’t be here today without the speed and assistance of the NWAA.
For this reason I am eager to raise money especially as they are solely dependent on charitable donations! Every £9 donated funds one minute of a NWAA mission.
This 10K will definitley be a challenge for me as I have been working with physiotherapists over the last year following surgeries on my knee (but that’s another story!)
Any donations are greatly appreciated,
Lots of Love
Lisa xx
