Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My amazing Mum's story:

In 2012 I was having lots of pain along my lower jaw so went to the dentist, where I had a wisdom tooth removed, but a few days later the shocks were still there so I went back to the dentist who said it could be Trigeminal Neuralgia. I then visit my doctors who conform that it was in fact Trigeminal Neuralgia and arranged for me to have a MRI scan where they found a Tumour on my Brian that is lying on the Trigeminal nerve,I was then advised to have radiotherapy, so in 2014 I had 30 sessions of radiotherapy over six weeks. This worked and the Tumour shrunk but I still have Trigeminal neuralgia which is one of the most painful things and is commonly known as the suicide disease. I’m one of the lucky ones and my pain is mainly under control with medication. The Trigeminal neuralgia charity helped me to understand what my condition is and through them and Facebook I have joined a lot of support groups.

This is a charity which currently relies solely on donations and members subscription.
