I am taking part in YUSU RAG's Jailbreak 2017 alongside my team-mates Megan and Annie to help raise awareness and funds for Kidscan, a charity which funds essential research into new and improved treatments for children with cancer.

Kidscan conduct various new and innovative research projects looking into childhood cancer; such as their recent breakthrough in developing a drug which can be used to treat brain tumours in children. 

"Children are more susceptible to central nervous system tumours and they are very difficult to treat."

The drug works by cutting off blood-flow to the tumour causing it to die. This is a great alternative to other invasive life-threatening treatments used to treat brain tumours.

The objective of Jailbreak is to get as far away from our start point as possible in 30 hours without using any of our own money. During these 30 hours we hope to continue fundraising along the way and help spread awareness of the charity and the great work they carry out. 

Kidscan does not receive statutory funding; they rely entirely on donations - so any donation you could make would be greatly appreciated.
