We have decided to run a half marathon which feels a bit over ambitious considering we are both pretty unfit! But the Blythe super sisters have given us a kick up the bum and we’re going for it! It’s going to be hard work squeezing the training in with the kids, but we’re going to give it our best!

The charity we have chosen does a really special job. We hadn’t heard of it until we started researching but when I stumbled upon it, I knew it would give us the right motivation to keep running even when we can’t be bothered. Derby Kids’ Camp provide completely free holidays to the most disadvantaged children in Derby. The kids are carefully nominated by teachers and are truly amongst the most deserving little people in need of a break and a chance to make precious memories which otherwise they’d never have. A simple week camping in the Peak District could make all the difference to these kids. 

We love spending time with our boys, just playing and having fun, and we are fortunate enough to be able to do this. Due to a wide range of reasons, not all children get this opportunity, which just doesn’t seem right and it’s not their fault. £140 is enough money for 1 child to go away for a week so we’d love to raise at least this!
