L'Arche builds communities with people who have learning disabilities. Together with assistants, they live in ordinary houses, with choice in and access to work, therapy and local resources. The nine L'Arche communities in England, Scotland and Wales are founded on Christian values, also welcoming people of other faiths and none.

Story

The L'Arche communities in the UK receive funding for the essential support of our members with learning disabilities. However we need to fundraise for the many other activities which make us a community - community gatherings, pilgrimages, retreats, parties and celebrations of special events for each community member.

In particular, I am fundraising towards the extra cost of wheelchair-accessible transport for our annual pilgrimage to Canterbury, so that we can all travel together.

Thank you for any donation you are able to make, big or small.

And if you're in London on 12th September, do come and cheer me on as I pass.
