There are 805 million hungry people in the world.

They are hungry because of things out of their control - the poverty trap, lack of investment in agriculture, climate and weather, war and displacement, unstable markets and food wastage.

I don't know enough about some of the causes above, but food wastage seems ridiculous! 1/3 of all food produced is never consumed! FareShare ensures that good food is put to good use, rather than wasted.
