This summer I am taking on two open water swimming challenges: The Drakes Island Swim (approx 1 mile) on Sunday July 7th and the infamous Plymouth Breakwater Swim (appox 4km) on Sunday 4th August. 

Raising money for Prostate Cancer and the Chestnut Appeal for Men's Health is something I hold very close to my heart. Earlier this year my family said goodbye to Donald Upton - husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and all round amazing and inspiration man. Don devoted his life towards helping others find their own health, happiness and wellbeing and it is through Don I found so much of my own life's path. So, in honour of Don, Don's wife Tricia and the rest of my dear, dear family - I will take to the water this summer and with your help aim to raise £400 for the Chestnut Appeal for Men's Health. 

It is important to remember that cancer not only affects those with the diagnosis but those within the support circle, friends and family. All donations will go directly to the Chestnut Appeal, supporting prostate cancer patients as well as their families, as they continue to raise awareness, and hold important conversations surrounding men's health.
