Fundraising for Starchild
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As my 50th year approaches I decided that the best way to celebrate it would be to travel to Uganda and volunteer at the Starchild School for Creative Arts, and support the other projects that help the most vulnerable orphans, children and women in East Africa.
To enable this dream to become a reality I have to raise £3000 to help cover travel, accommodation and I want to be able to purchase a years supply of sanitary wear so teenage girls can continue with their education.
On the 23rd March 2018 I will be hosting an evening of fun, laughter, dancing and fundraising activities to raise money to travel to Uganda and see first hand all the wonderful achievements Starchild has accomplished thus far in memory of our very dear school friend Frankie Marsh. I will be inviting you to join me to help celebrate the charity and too celebrate me entering my 50’s , which I am very excited about as my 40’s were not the greatest years due to health issues.
Therefore, can I request that if you wish to attend please make an online donation or if you prefer to pay at the door it will be a minimum of 5.00 donation. I look forward to seeing as many as you as possible to help me celebrate and to help me reach my goal of going to Uganda to see how we can build on all the great work that has been achieved thus far. Basically think School Reunion in memory of Frankie so I want to see as many ex shawlands pupils there for a fun night.
