This is a joint fundraising page for Lynne and Laura Dickens. We are a mother and daughter team fundraising for JDRF to help find a cure for type 1 diabetes. Laura has had type 1 diabetes for 22 years and Lynne learns everything she can to be the biggest support!

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. I know I have been hassling many of you for months to support my hero, Laura Dickens, in her quest to run the London Marathon in 2017, which she did with enthusiasm and she smashed it - so proud! As a type I diabetic for over 20 years, she has always inspired me at what she can achieve whilst living with this long term, chronic condition. If she can run 26.2 miles, then surely I can ride 46 miles at my age?

I've been in training for the last couple of months and have achieved 21 miles so far in one session, so still have a way to go. Riding this week in over 30 degree temperatures has been challenging, but I'm loving it. Please help by sponsoring us just £1, if that is all you can afford. Every little helps in bringing about a cure or better way of treating diabetes.
